Art of Sewing

Journaling:
We did not have a lot. When my Dad was at that time a young officer in the army, there was no money to buy not even material every month for the fancy parties. Funny society, it didn’t look good to wear the same dress to a party. My mom learn how to sew from my grandmother and I remember specifically this dress, as it was in this photo and later on was backless, after that a skirt with a fancy blouse. I can hear those military party’s with live bands almost one every month. My Mom always looked gorgeous. I was amazed how she could take one dress and make two blouses, or whatever she needed for her or us.
